You can import your delivery history from Google Maps using Google Takeout. Here's how:
1. Open your web browser and go to Google Takeout.
2. Scroll through the list and find "Maps." Make sure its checkbox is checked and it says "1 selected" at the top. If other items are checked, uncheck them — exporting extra data will take much longer. Tap "Next step."
3. Make sure "Send download link via email" and "Export once" are selected. Tap "Create export."
4. Google will prepare your file. This is usually almost instant, but can sometimes take a little while. You'll receive an email when it's ready.
5. Open the email titled "Your Google data is ready to download." Tap the link and download the .zip file to your phone. It's usually named something like "takeout-maps.zip."
6. Return to Auto Tip Map and go to Settings > Data Management > Import Data. Select "Google Maps Backup" and choose the .zip file you downloaded.
If you've previously exported a backup from Auto Tip Map, you can restore it by going to Settings > Data Management > Import Data, then select "Auto Tip Map Backup" and choose your .atm backup file. This will import all of your saved addresses, orders, and tip data.
Screenshot import is coming soon. This feature will allow you to import order and tip data from screenshots.
To back up your data, go to Settings > Data Management and tap "Export Backup." This will save all of your addresses, orders, tips, and other data to a .atm file on your device. You can use this file to restore your data later or transfer it to another device.
Auto Tip Map can automatically capture tips in two ways:
Overlay Capture — When the overlay is running, Auto Tip Map detects tips in real time and saves them automatically.
Background Capture — When enabled in Settings, Auto Tip Map listens for tip notifications from your delivery app even when the app is closed. Any tips that come through as notifications are automatically saved. You can enable or disable this in Settings > App Behavior.
When the overlay is running, Auto Tip Map automatically detects delivery orders in real time. When a new order is found, the app saves the order number, address, and other details. You'll see a brief confirmation popup when an order is captured.
When you zoom out on the map, nearby addresses are grouped together into colored bubbles. Each bubble's color represents the average tip rating for addresses in that area. Colors range from red (no tips) through orange and yellow to green (great tips). This gives you a quick visual overview of which areas tend to tip well.
Each address on your map is shown as a colored pin. You can tap any pin to see a popup with the address details, including how many times you've delivered there and the average tip. Tap the address in the popup to open the full order history for that location.
When the overlay is running and a new order is detected, a brief popup appears near the overlay bubble confirming that the order has been saved. This notification fades away automatically after a couple of seconds.
When a tip is detected and logged — either through the overlay or background capture — a brief popup appears confirming that the tip has been saved. This notification fades away automatically after a couple of seconds.
When the overlay detects a delivery offer on your screen, it shows a popup with information about the address from your order history.
This helps you decide whether to accept the offer. The popup will show one of the following:
• New Customer — the address has never been seen before
• No Order History — the address is known but has no past orders
• Order history details — number of past orders, average tip amount and percentage, and a color-coded tip rating (No Tip, Poor, Average, Good, or Great)
If you've added notes to an address, a sticky note icon will appear. Tap it to view your notes.
The popup is draggable — tap and hold to move it anywhere on your screen.
It appears automatically when an offer is detected and disappears when you leave the offer screen. If multiple addresses are visible, all of them will be shown.
If the overlay is interrupted (for example, if your screen locks), capture will pause. The overlay button on the home screen will show "Paused" to let you know. You can resume capture by unlocking your screen and tapping the resume prompt, or by restarting the overlay from the home screen.
Time Tracking is an optional feature. To turn it on or off, go to Settings > App Behavior and use the Time Tracking toggle.
When enabled, a time tracking button appears on the home screen and the Hours and Hourly Rate cards appear on the Stats page.
When disabled, the home screen button and Stats cards are hidden, but the Time Tracking page is still accessible from the sidebar menu.
You can start tracking your work time from the home screen by tapping the "Start Time Tracking" button. While tracking, the button changes to "Stop Time Tracking" and shows how long you've been working. Tap it again to stop. Time Tracking must be enabled in Settings > App Behavior to see this button.
To manually add a work shift, open the Time Tracking page from the sidebar menu and tap "+ Add Shift." Enter the start and end times for your shift.
To edit an existing time entry, go to the Time Tracking page and tap on the shift you want to change. You can adjust the start and end times.
To delete a time entry, go to the Time Tracking page, tap on the shift you want to remove, and select the delete option.
Mileage Tracking is an optional feature. To turn it on or off, go to Settings > Optional Features and use the Mileage Tracking toggle.
When enabled, a mileage tracking button appears on the home screen. When disabled, the home screen button is hidden, but the Mileage Tracking page is still accessible from the sidebar menu.
You can start tracking your driving distance from the home screen by tapping the mileage tracking button. While tracking, Auto Tip Map uses GPS to record your distance in real-time. Tap the button again to stop tracking. The completed trip is saved automatically.
To manually add a trip, open the Mileage Tracking page from the sidebar menu and tap "+ Add Trip." Enter the date, start time, end time, and total miles for your trip.
To edit an existing trip, go to the Mileage Tracking page and tap the edit icon next to the trip you want to change. You can adjust the date, times, and miles.
To delete a trip, go to the Mileage Tracking page and tap the delete icon next to the trip you want to remove. You'll be asked to confirm before the trip is deleted.
You can export your mileage log as a CSV file by tapping "Export CSV" at the bottom of the Mileage Tracking page. The export includes the date, start time, end time, and miles for each trip within your selected date range.
In Order History, you can filter your addresses by date range using the buttons near the top of the page: Today, Yesterday, 7 Days, or Custom (which lets you choose your own start and end dates).
You can also toggle between Order Date and Tip Date using the toggle at the top. Order Date filters by when the order was placed, while Tip Date filters by when the tip was received.
To sort your addresses, use the sort button in the search bar. Sort options include:
• Tip Rating — sort by how well each address tips
• Most Recent — sort by the date of the most recent order
• Last Updated — sort by when the address was last modified
You can also toggle between ascending and descending order using the arrow button next to the sort menu.
Each address is assigned a color-coded tip rating:
• Red — No tip
• Orange — Poor
• Yellow — Average
• Yellow-Green — Good
• Green — Great
The rating is calculated based on your tip threshold settings. You can customize how tip ratings are calculated by going to Settings > Data Preferences, where you can choose between percentage-based or dollar-based thresholds and adjust the cutoff values for each tier.
You can manually add a new address by tapping the green "+" button at the top of the Order History page. However, manual address entry is not recommended because manually entered addresses may not match correctly with automatically captured orders. For best results, let Auto Tip Map capture addresses automatically through the overlay or through your uploaded screenshots.
To manually add an order to an existing address, open the address card in Order History and use the add order option. You can enter the order number, order amount, and tip amount.
To edit an order, open the address card in Order History and tap on the order you want to change. You can update the order details such as the order number, amount, and tip.
To edit an address, open the address card in Order History, tap Edit, then tap the Edit Address button. You can update the address by importing a screenshot of an order card, or by entering the address manually. The address must exactly match how it appears in your delivery app in order to correctly match future orders.
The Stats page lets you view your earnings data for different time periods. Use the date range buttons at the top to switch between:
• Today — stats for the current day
• Yesterday — stats for the previous day
• 7 Days — stats for the past week
• Custom — choose your own start and end dates
This shows the total number of deliveries you completed during the selected time period. Tap this card to jump to Order History filtered to the same date range.
This shows the total dollar amount of tips you received for orders placed during the selected time period. The label changes based on your selected date range (e.g., "Tips for Yesterday's Orders").
This shows the percentage of your orders in the selected time period that received a tip.
This shows the total amount of bonuses you've added for the selected time period.
This shows the total hours you've tracked during the selected time period. This card is only visible when Time Tracking is enabled in Settings > App Behavior. Tap it to go to the Time Tracking page.
This shows your total earnings divided by your tracked hours for the selected time period. This helps you see how much you're earning per hour. This card is only visible when Time Tracking is enabled.
This shows the total miles you've driven during the selected time period based on your tracked mileage data. This card is only visible when Mileage Tracking is enabled.
This shows the estimated fuel cost for your trips during the selected time period, calculated from your miles driven, vehicle fuel efficiency, and energy price. This card is only visible when both Mileage Tracking and Fuel Cost Tracking are enabled.
This shows tips that were received during the selected time period but belong to orders from earlier dates. For example, if you delivered an order yesterday but the tip came through today, it would show up here. Tap this card for more details.
The Bonuses section at the bottom of the Stats page lets you track extra earnings like peak pay, challenges, or other bonuses. Tap "+ Add Bonus" to log a new bonus with an amount and date. You can tap an existing bonus to edit or delete it.
App Theme controls the overall look of the app. You can choose System (follows your phone's setting), Light, or Dark.
Overlay Theme controls the appearance of the overlay popup that appears over other apps. You can choose Light, Dark, or System. Light is recommended since most delivery apps use a light background.
Tip Counting Preference lets you choose how tips are counted in your stats:
• Order Date — tips are counted based on when the order was placed
• Tip Date — tips are counted based on when the tip was received
Tip Rating Thresholds let you customize what counts as a "poor," "average," "good," or "great" tip. You can choose between Percentage (based on tip as a percent of order amount) or Dollar Amount (based on the raw tip value). Drag the sliders to adjust the cutoff for each tier.
Tap "Save & Recalculate" to apply your changes and update all existing tip ratings across your data. Tap "Reset to Defaults" to restore the original threshold values.
Background Tip Capture: When enabled, Auto Tip Map listens for tip notifications from your delivery app even when the app is closed. This requires notification access permission. If disabled, tips will only be captured while the overlay is running.
Time Tracking: When enabled, a time tracking button appears on the home screen. When disabled, the home screen button is hidden, but the Time Tracking page is still accessible from the sidebar menu.
When enabled, a mileage tracking button appears on the home screen. When disabled, the home screen button is hidden, but the Mileage Tracking page is still accessible from the sidebar menu. This toggle can be found under Settings > Optional Features.
Fuel Cost Tracking is a sub-feature of Mileage Tracking. When enabled, Auto Tip Map estimates your per-trip fuel cost based on your vehicle's fuel efficiency and current energy prices. This toggle appears under Settings > Optional Features when Mileage Tracking is enabled.
To set up fuel cost tracking, tap "Configure Vehicle & Prices" in Settings > Optional Features (under Fuel Cost Tracking). On the setup page, select your vehicle's year, make, and model. Auto Tip Map will look up your vehicle's EPA fuel efficiency rating. You can optionally override the efficiency value if your real-world mileage differs.
Next, set your energy price. For gas or diesel vehicles, you can either fetch the latest estimated price based on your state or enter a price per gallon manually. For electric vehicles, enter your electricity cost per kWh.
Export Backup saves all of your data to a .atm backup file on your device. Use this regularly to keep a safe copy of your data.
Import Data lets you bring in data from a Google Maps export, a previous Auto Tip Map backup, or screenshots.
Delete All Data permanently erases all of your addresses, orders, tips, and other saved data. This action cannot be undone.
