This policy covers fullyautomatedthings.com, including the homepage, the Apps and Guides pages, and code you copy from the guides. It's written by me, the person behind Fully Automated Things, in plain language.
Apps have their own policy. Auto Tip Map's privacy policy covers the app and its pages: Auto Tip Map Privacy Policy. Where a product has its own policy, that policy applies to the product instead of this one.
What's collected when you visit
Analytics
These pages use Google Analytics to show me which pages are useful and how people find them. It collects things like the pages you view, how long you stay, the site that referred you, your device and browser type, and your approximate location (city or region level). It uses cookies to tell visits apart.
Google processes this data under its own terms. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Hosting
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like most web hosts, GitHub may record technical details of each request, such as your IP address and browser, for security and to keep the service running. See GitHub's privacy statement.
Fonts
Pages load their typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser requests those font files from Google, which receives your IP address as part of that request.
If you email me, I receive your email address and whatever you write. I use it only to reply, and I'll delete it if you ask.
What isn't collected
There are no accounts, sign-ups, or forms on these pages, and I don't collect payment information here. I don't sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Guides and the tools they set up
Viewing or copying code from a guide sends me nothing beyond the normal page request. Tools you set up from a guide run in your own accounts, such as Cloudflare, Google, or xAI. I don't receive data from them, and those services' own privacy policies apply to what they handle.
Children
This site isn't directed to children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
- Opt out of analytics with the add-on above, or by blocking cookies.
- Ask me what I hold about you, or ask me to delete it, by emailing me. Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights over your personal information, and I'll honor them.
I don't receive analytics in a form that identifies you, so I may not be able to match analytics data to a specific person.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
